Stuck in decision paralysis? Here is a way to clarify your options.

Making Decisions: A Path Out of Paralysis

We’ve all been there—staring at a difficult decision, feeling paralyzed by the sheer number of options. It’s easy to get caught in a mental tug-of-war, endlessly comparing the pros and cons, trying to weigh the “right” choice, and feeling stuck in the process. Often, we’re caught in the trap of comparing apples to oranges, making it hard to see the bigger picture. That's where a decision-making rubric can help.

By assigning numerical values to each option, this approach allows you to evaluate your choices with clarity and precision. Instead of getting lost in subjective feelings or endless deliberation, you can focus on a simple, quantifiable score that helps you make the best decision based on your unique priorities. In the following post, I’ll walk you through the steps of creating your own rubric, so you can turn any decision-making process into a more structured, actionable exercise.

Below are two links: one is to the actual rubric example, the second is a video that will walk you through how to apply it to your unique situation.

And if you would like help thinking through the results you arrive at through this exercise, reach out to get started with a free 30 minute introductory call. We will discuss your goals, where you are getting stuck in your life, and how I can help you break through to a more fulfilling, and authentic life.
